🎓 University Teaching Experience

From 2011 to 2014, George J. Su was invited to teach Film Music at the School of Film and Television, Shanghai Theatre Academy, where he worked primarily with directing students. In addition to his teaching role, he served as a graduate thesis advisor and defense panelist, actively participating in academic evaluation and mentoring students in the integration of sound and visual storytelling.

From 2012 to 2015, he also taught Film Music at the School of Film at Tongji University, where his students included both directing and dubbing majors. His curriculum blended theory and practice, with a focus on the emotional and structural roles of music in visual media. His courses were well-received by both students and faculty for their depth and clarity.

Throughout his teaching career, George has been committed to inspiring students to develop a deeper understanding of the aesthetics of sound. He encourages interdisciplinary thinking and creative exploration, offering not just technical training but also nurturing artistic vision—laying a strong foundation for many aspiring young creators.
