George J. Su is a Los Angeles–based composer, sound designer, and music post-production specialist with over three decades of experience across film, theater, audio drama, and immersive storytelling.

Known for his ability to blend emotional nuance with technical precision, George approaches sound not just as an element, but as a language—one that shapes story, guides rhythm, and deepens audience connection.

His work spans original scores, sonic branding, voice narrative production, and full-cycle post for projects ranging from feature films and stage productions to web series, audiobooks, and meditation content. George has collaborated with international teams across the U.S., Japen, Russia, and France, and has received recognition from the Chinese Theatre Festival, Golden Rooster Awards, the Chinese American Film Festival, and UNESCO.

Before relocating to Los Angeles, George founded and led Watching Studio, one of Shanghai’s leading independent sound studios, overseeing large-scale recording and post-production for both domestic and cross-border productions. He has also served as a music director for musical theater productions and as a university educator in film scoring.

At the heart of his work is a belief that great sound doesn’t just accompany a story—it becomes part of how the story is told.
